The Charger’s exclusivity is a result of years of experience in Twinskin design. It represents yet another leap forward in terms of performance and safety.
Features such as the optimized panel and profile design and the new VPC3 system combined with a redesigned tip shape significantly increased performance and turning speed.

With all this added performance, the Charger still features that Twinskin stability and Auto-zenith feature, which is still unmatched by any other kite design out there!

 

Flying Characteristics

Great low-end power and large wind-range
The Charger has an amazing wind range. Its good low-end performance, combined with the quick and easy turning, allows you to ride a smaller kite than you’d choose before for a certain wind speed, without compromising the top end that the Twinskin kites are known for. The Charger’s wind range will give you the confidence to ride in any condition, no matter how gusty the wind is.

Responsive and easy control
The Charger turns surprisingly quicker and smoother. This kite challenges you to do kite-loops and go big. It can either be flown with slack or tight rear lines, its flying and turning speed are not affected by the rear line tension; this makes it a suitable kite for various riding styles.

Amazing lift and long float
One of the best things about kiting is going big! The profile shape of the Charger, in combination with the speed of the kite gives good lift, for extremely high jumps. The large amount of float stands for longer airtime to perform supreme tricks and steady landings.

Large amount of Pop
The Charger has a large amount of Pop. You can load up the kite and get an explosive pop from the kite. This makes new school tricks with the Charger a piece of cake.

Stability and Auto-Zenith

As with all Twinskins, the Charger has an incredible stability. When parking the kite above your head, it does not luff or collapse. The Auto-zenith feature helps you by bringing back the kite automatically to the zenith. When practising new tricks or getting washed by a wave, simply let go of the bar and your kite will be waiting for you at the zenith.

 

Features

Medium aspect ratio with increased performance, without sacrificing stability across the whole wind range.

Patented concave LE shape increasing depower range and smooth overall wing shape. The LE is concave in flight, making sure there is less stress across the complete wing and increasing the amount of depower.

Optimized panel-shape and cell spacing for high flying speed and smooth performance across the whole kite range. The cell spacing for each size Charger has been relatively decreased as the kite size increases, to make sure the larger kites fly faster and the smaller kite are more stable to handle strong gusty winds.

Newly designed profile for high performance flying and optimal lift.

Optimized tip shape for increased turning speed and less bar pressure. The tip of the Charger has been designed for less drag and has been made to give the rider less bar pressure with faster steering.

Two Air intakes for fast inflation and quick relaunch. The Air intakes allow air to flow in, and the valves behind the intakes prevent air from getting out. The two air intakes on the Charger allow the air to get in with ease, and less air to get out. This increases the overall internal pressure of the kite for added performance and quicker relaunch.

Specially constructed trailing edge increasing power and flying speed. By using specially shaped panels at the trailing edge of the kite, the skin is smooth along this area increasing flying speed and power.

Special reinforcement patches on the tip as well as on the inside of the kite. Reinforcement patches distribute the load across a larger area, putting less stress on certain parts of the kite increasing durability and ensuring a smooth skin shape.

VPC3 (Variable Power Control) system on the wingtips for increased wind range, easier control, personal feel on the bar and smooth power build-up. The VPC3 system can easily be adjusted to set the bar pressure to your personal liking. All pulleys are completely detachable so you can replace them after long term wear.

Kook-proof line connections to prevent wrong attachment of the top and rear lines to the kite.

Steering adjusters allowing you to set the steering behaviour of the kite to your personal preference. The straps inside the tips can easily be tightened or loosened to increase turning speed and flying speed to your personal riding style.

Flight adjuster allowing you to adjust the ‘feel and power’ of the kite. The centre strap helps you set the power and flying behaviour to your personal liking. Adjust the kite to your style rather than your style to the kite.

Dual inflation zippers for quick and easy pre-inflation. The two high volume inflate zippers, allowing you to pre-inflate your kite with very little effort. Simply open up the zippers and they stay open to fill up the kite while you are setting up your lines.

Deflation zipper to help you pack up fast and easy. Open up the deflate zipper, fold your tips together and add some weight on the tips. The kite will automatically be deflated, so you can pack it up with ease.

Launch assistant tags to ensure trouble-free self-launching. The Launch assistants on each tip hold your flying lines correctly while launching, so you can easily launch the kite by yourself.

 

Grab-handle on the tips with integrated VPC3 carrier preventing your VPC system from getting tangled when packing up.

 

Durable aluminium compact sticks for easy transport and storage.

Control bar

The complete version of the Charger will be delivered with the Peter Lynn Navigator bar. The main features of this new bar:

Centrix depower loop - The depower loop with easy to release and re-assemble safety release, as well as an integrated swivel. The safety system on one front line in combination with the swivel is completely tangle free.

Dual size end caps - The specially designed end caps allow you to set the bar size quickly to match your kite size, conditions and personal preference.

Free sliding stopper on long dual depower line - The stopper can be moved along the depower line to any position. The bar movement along the depower line can be increased for more depower or reduced to take the load of your arms without lowering power in the kite.

Top lines with V-split - The top centre line splits in about 10m from the bar increasing kite’s depower and rigidity in flight.

High durability and easy replacements - The Navigator bar is manufactured using top quality materials and high-tech construction methods. This ensures an extremely durable and safe control bar. As with all bars, in the long term parts can wear. The Navigator is designed in such a way that these parts can quickly and easily be replaced.

When ordering your Peter Lynn charger simply choose the size and colour you want then add the correct RTF pack to suit the kite you have chosen.

There are three sizes to choose from. Small medium and large.

Small 45-55cm bar for 6 and 8mtr kite with 20mtr lines + 3mtr extensions.

Medium 45-55cm bar for 10 12 & 15mtr kites with 23mtr lines + 3mtr extensions.

Large 55-65cm bar for 19mtr kite with 23mtr lines + 3mtr extensions.
